GLB 200d engine compartment components

The other day I was driving and I could smell oil smoke. I stopped and lifted the bonnet and saw there was oil sprayed on the engine. I tracked the source to a component to the left of the engine and a screw-in stopper/cap was missing. I have no idea the name of the component is in order to order a replacement. And I have no idea how a screw-in cap became missing, perhaps when it was serviced last May & mechanic forgot to put it back in.

I attach a photo, and I have circled the component in green...anyone know the name/ what it is? Thanks

Mine has that same tapped hole, it looks like something should be screwed in there but there isn't. I asked the mechanic at our local dealer, was told that's where a lifting eye is screwed in to assist with removing the engine.
